The Asus RTX 5080 and Core Ultra 9 ROG NUC fits sexy hardware inside a 3-litre chassis

High-end performance in a compact size comes at a price.

Asus has released its ROG NUC (2025) Gaming Mini PC in Europe, offering up to an RTX 5080 mobile GPU in a 3-litre chassis. This 2025 version was announced back on June 19, but it’s only now that we are getting the euro pricing. It rocks all the features you can expect from a high-end desktop machine, but without the bulky size.

The ROG NUC (2025) is a small form factor gaming PC powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU plus an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 mobile GPU. In other words, inside its 282.4mm x 187.7mm x 56.5mm dimensions, you can pack up to 24 CPU cores boosting to 5.4GHz, 7,680 CUDA cores with 16GB of dedicated VRAM, 48GB of DDR5-5600 memory, and 2TB of SSD storage. That said, you can save more than €1,000 by opting for a more reasonable config, starring the Core Ultra 7 255HX plus RTX 5060 mobile. Cooling is provided by a triple-fan dual-vapour-chamber system designed for low noise operation.

Asus is planning at least four variants, with a choice between the 20-core Core Ultra 7 255HX or the 24-core Core Ultra 9 275HX, 16GB or 32GB of DDR5, 1TB or 2TB of SSD storage, plus one of four dedicated GPUs, including the RTX 5060, RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5080. Note that the SSD runs at Gen 5 speed, plugged into an M.2 2280 slot. Thus, both the M.2 SSD and SODIMM RAM should be upgradable if you wish.

On the connectivity side, the ROG NUC (2025) doesn’t need to envy a full-size desktop PC, offering six USB 3.2 10Gb/s, one Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2 Type-C, two DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1, a headphone jack, and 2.5GbE LAN. Not to forget the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity.

The Asus ROG NUC (2025) Gaming Mini PC is expected to hit European stores at the following prices:

  • Core Ultra 9 275HX + RTX 5080 + 32GB RAM + 2TB SSD at €3,371
  • Core Ultra 9 275HX + RTX 5070 Ti + 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD at €2,610
  • Core Ultra 9 275HX + RTX 5070 + 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD at €2,621
  • Core Ultra 7 255HX + RTX 5060 + 16GB RAM + 1TB SSD at €2,218

While you would get more for your money building an ATX desktop PC, cramming this much performance into a 3-litre chassis has its benefits. If you have a limited space or like something power-efficient, the 2025 ROG NUC has your back.

Lastly, if you live in the US, note that Asus has been spotted increasing the price of the ROG NUC 2025 by around $350. The top variant packing the RTX 5080 jumped from $2,849 to $3,199, so you may want to grab one before it rises again.
