Gigabyte is responding to the growing demand for anime-themed hardware with a new mid-range motherboard starring its mascot, Ari. This latest addition to the Aorus Ari lineup offers up an undeniable kawaii energy that will entice PC builders aiming to put together a cute build.

Building on the success of the older m-ATX board, this new B850 Aorus Elite-P Ice aims to bring the cutesy hardware to the ATX format. You’ll find a drawing of Ari atop the the chipset cooler, in addition to small touches like cat paws all over the PCB. There’s also an animated version of Gigabyte’s mascot on the display that sits on top of the VRMs which you can customise with varying colours.
Thanks to its larger size, the motherboard is able to accommodate up to two full-size PCIe devices and four M.2 SSDs, in addition to four DDR5 modules and two SATA drives. The board is compatible with both AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series processors, and supports up to 8,200MT/s memory, with capacity up to 256GB using 64GB modules.
It also comes equipped with a Digital twin 16+2+2 phases VRM solution, which should suffice to power any existing Ryzen CPU. On the I/O side, you will find a variety of ports, including USB 3.2 Type-A and Type-C, 5GbE LAN, and 3.5mm analogue audio.

In addition to all the anime theming, each B850 Aorus Elite-P Ice ships with an exclusive accessories. In addition to the motherboard, you’ll also have the pleasure of unboxing an Ari blind box, which will contain a cute plushie of the character.
I’m personally all for more PC components to receive anime-inspired designs. That said, cute at Ari is, I’d love to see Gigabyte apply such design tendencies in partnership with a well-established series. A Dragonball or Fullmetal Alchemist motherboard would be an absolute dream.
