Gigabyte’s new Aorus Infinity graphics cards have finally hit the US market, but at a price between 57% and 90% above Nvidia’s MSRPs. To get one, you will need to shell out at least $864.10, and that’s just for a mid-range RTX 5070 GPU.
At the moment, only three models are listed: the Aorus GeForce RTX 5070 Infinity 12GB at $864.10, the Aorus GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Infinity 16GB at $1,299.99, and the Aorus GeForce RTX 5080 Infinity Wood 16GB at $1,899.99. This respectively represents a $315, $550, and $900 premium over Nvidia’s $549, $749, and $999 MSRPs, or put otherwise, a 57%, 74%, and 90% increase.
Even if we take into account current prices, which have been significantly inflated by the ongoing memory shortages, all Infinity cards remain far above basic models. For example, the cheapest RTX 5070 on retailer Newegg is found at $619.99, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti at $899.99, and the RTX 5080 at $1,349.99. Though above MSRP, none ask for so much premium.
To be fair, if we look for models that also carry fancy coolers like Gigabyte’s Infinity, the situation changes a lot, perhaps even to the advantage of Gigabyte. For example, the WindForce RTX 5070 is up for $880.99 despite having a basic cooler and feature set. Also note that Gigabyte has the Aorus RTX 5090 Infinity, but it is missing from the store’s list for some reason. This is surprising considering it was the first model to be announced, back in January 2026.
Pricing aside, all cards from the Gigabyte Infinity series come equipped with the brand’s WindForce HyperBurst cooling system, featuring a composite metal thermal paste for the GPU, said to combine the high thermal conductivity of liquid metal with the ease of application of traditional silicone grease.
Likewise, all feature a dual-flow-through fan design like the RTX Pro 6000 FE, with an additional middle fan that only runs when under heavier GPU loads. Lastly, while all get the reinforced backplate plus a four-year warranty after online registration, only the RTX 5070 Ti and above come equipped with a vapour chamber.
