AOC launches 34in ultrawide CU34P2C monitor with 65W USB-C

Good specs without breaking the bank.

Display specialist AOC has announced a new addition to its P2 catalogue of monitors, using a curved ultrawide panel aimed at offices and multitasking consumers.

This 34in monitor is based on an 8-bit VA panel featuring a 1500R curvature, offering a native UWQHD resolution of 3440×1440 at a 21:9 aspect ratio. With such desk space, multitasking is the way to go.

The AOC CU34P2C boasts a static contrast ratio of 3000:1 alongside a maximum brightness of 300 nits, providing decent blacks with enough luminosity for everyday. Completing the specs is an above-average colour gamut, rated at 120 per cent sRGB and 89 per cent AdobeRGB. For a VA panel, viewing angles are also forgiving at 178 degrees.

Although AOC is focusing this monitor at professionals, like music producers, video editors and streamers, the CU34P2C may please gamers too thanks to a 100Hz refresh rate and 1ms (GtG) response time. Not to forget adaptive synchronisation for a tear-free experience.

Speaking of gaming and AOC, we are currently running a giveaway starring the 31.5in AG324UX 4K 144Hz monitor. Give it a try, you never know.

Built using an aluminium finish complemented by a three-sided borderless design makes for a fine fit inside modern homes and offices. Its fully ergonomic stand offers height (150mm), swivel and tilt adjustments including the possibility to hook it up to a wall or a frame using a 100mm VESA mount. The base can also be fitted with AOC’s VESA-P2 mount to fit mini-PCs creating an all-in-one system for a tidy workspace.

I/O is comprised of a USB-C port capable of transmitting data and power devices up to 65W, a USB Hub, headphone jack, HDMI and DisplayPort, plus two 3W speakers for basic audio.

The AOC CU34P2C will be available May 2022 at £479.99 RRP.
