AMD has silently launched the Radeon RX 9060 XT LP, a low-power version of the regular RX 9060 XT. This model will likely be positioned as an OEM/SI or China-exclusive version of the regular RX 9060 XT, offering a more efficient and easier-to-cool alternative to the regular RX 9060 XT, all while keeping near-identical performance.
Based on the available specs, the RX 9060 XT LP seems to be a tuned-down model of the DIY RX 9060 XT 16GB, offering the same 32 RDNA 4 compute units and 16GB of GDDR6 memory. The main difference rests in the board’s power target, which is dropped from 160W on the original design to 140W on this LP version. This means that the card will be more efficient at the cost of lower boost frequency.
While AMD didn’t provide frequency figures for this GPU, based on the listed 25 TFLOPs of single-precision FP32 performance, the maximum boost clock should hover around 3.05GHz. If correct, this would represent just a 2.5% speed reduction compared to the regular 9060 XT, which shouldn’t impact performance that much.
Logically, you can expect slightly lower frame rates in games, around 100fps in AC Mirage, 90fps in FF XIV, and 50fps in Forza Motorsport, at QHD resolution. Most importantly, thanks to its larger 16GB memory pool, high-resolution gaming will be feasible, unlike the RX 9060 XT 8GB.

Due to the slight change in the power budget, the PSU recommendation remains at 450W, with power fed through a single 8-pin connector. The same goes for video outputs, which include DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b. You can also expect support for the full suite of AMD graphics features, such as the newly released FSR Redstone.
Since the RX 960 XT LP appears on AMD’s international website, we may see it outside of China in OEM pre-built PCs. But if it ever lands on store shelves, we can expect a slight discount over the standard RX 9060 XT, likely slotting between the RX 9060 XT 16GB and the RX 9060 XT 8GB.
