be quiet! has showcased the Light Mount TKL at Computex 2026, its latest compact keyboard design for gamers. Despite its smaller footprint, this board still has plenty of punch, with multi-layer sound dampening and hot-swappable switches.

As its name implies, the Light Mount TKL (tenkeyless) is a shorter version of the full-size Light Mount. This means no numpad nor customisable side buttons, though be quiet! has relocated some of the latter in the top-right of the board. Its compact size leaves more desk space to move the mouse, which is extremely handy for FPS players who prefer low-DPI mouse settings.
The keyboard boasts a triple-layer sound-dampening foam plus factory-lubricated switches, resulting in a nice and quiet sound profile, perfect for shared spaces. To ensure a stronger build quality, be quiet! went with a metal chassis topped by a brushed aluminium top plate, giving it a sturdier feel. As a welcome plus, the USB-C to USB-A cable is detachable.

Like its bigger sibling, the Light Mount TKL will be available with be quiet’s Orange Linear switches or Black Tactile switches, offering speed and precision all while being hot-swapable for convenient customisation and replacement. The board arrives with the same 5-pin MX-style switches and come equipped with double-shot keycaps that use translucent legends. You’ll also find a notched knob in the top left corner, giving easy access to volume control.
Those who like their switches quiet but lighting loud will also enjoy the Light Mount TKL’s per-key ARGB customisation, enhanced by an arched diffuser on each switch that ensures bright and even light distribution. The top RGB-lit bar adds more diffused ambient lighting effects, for an extra splash of RGB. Both the lighting effects and Macro keys are customisable via the brand’s IO Center software.

Lastly, in terms of comfort, the Light Mount TKL comes bundled with a well-padded magnetic wrist rest, which perfectly complements the keyboard’s built-in triple-angle folding feet.
