DeepCool showcases tasteful transparent fan designs at Computex

This transparent effect comes at no cost to performance, according to DeepCool, making them just as competent as regular fans while looking far more unique.

DeepCool has showcased a new transparent fan design, with a see-through hub and visible internals. These unusual but nonetheless tasteful fans ditch loud RGB effects in favour of more sober and classy white lights that illuminate the internals in an elegant way.

These fans feature a transparent hub that lets you peek inside the motor assembly, where you can see parts like the PCB, bearing/shaft, and copper coils. The latter are the ones that make all of this look fantastic, for me at least, giving you a view of where the magic happens.

DeepCool confirmed that these cosmetic changes do not impact the performance of the fans, so you can expect similar characteristics to regular full black models. This isn’t always the case with RGB fans, where performance could degrade due to the changes required to accommodate RGB LEDs and their control circuits.

DeepCool has two variants on display, a blackened one (picture above) that shows a blue circle when the lights are OFF and motor internals when the lights are ON, plus a fully transparent one, called a ‘mirror-to-transparent’ design. The latter seems to be an evolution of the FT12 SE fans that you’ll find on the brand’s Mystique Plus series, and is my favourite of the two.

These fans will power the brand’s SilentNox Pro 360 cooler, but we are not sure if you’ll be able to purchase them as standalone units. Either way, they look fantastic. If you’re an avid fan of transparent tech, think gamepads and classic Apple Macs, then I can see you appreciating these fans too.
