NZXT Canvas FHD Monitors

Following the launch of Canvas 27QHD and 32QHD Curved, NZXT is turning its attention to lower resolutions with Canvas FHD monitors touting a heightened 240Hz refresh rate. A healthy bump over the QHD range, which tops out at 165Hz, and NZXT’s retains the clean aesthetic the brand is renowned for.

Priced from £259 and available in black, white, or a mix of both (when choosing a different stand colour), the Canvas (25F and 27F) FHD displays are based on a flat 1920×1080 IPS panel capable of reaching 240Hz refresh rate alongside a fast 1ms response time. The contrast ratio is typical for this panel type, sitting at 1000:1 alongside AMD FreeSync Premium support and an entry-level DisplayHDR400 implementation thanks to 400-nit peak brightness. For colour range, NZXT claims 89 per cent DCI-P3 and 99 per cent sRGB coverage.

Custom OSD profiles can be created through NZXT’s CAM software allowing users to tune their monitor’s picture settings easily, set optimised custom profiles for each game, and have them changed automatically upon launch.

Connectivity is comprised of two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.2 (either is capable of 1080p at 240Hz), two USB 3.0 Type-A, one USB Type-C with DP Alt mode, one USB 3.0 Type-B plus a 3.5mm audio jack.

In keeping with the range, NZXT will provide these monitors with or without a stand, lowering the cost of the latter and making them perfect for those planning to use a (100x100mm) VESA mount from the get-go. And don’t worry if you change your mind after getting a stand-less variant, NZXT’s own stands and arms are available to purchase separately. Models with a stand can adjust by 120mm in height, -5° to +20° in tilt, +20° to -20° in swivel, and include the ability to pivot 90°.

Monitors offering equivalent resolutions and refresh rates such as the Asus TUF Gaming VG27VQM 27in start around the £340 mark, with pricing dropping quite drastically when moving to below 25in size displays like the Acer Nitro VG252Q 24.5in. It is a lucrative market with many big-name players and NZXT looks to be adopting competitive price points from the get-go.
